today is a people i like entry on my mom!
i met my mom when i was born. currently, we live together.
everyone i’ve ever met really enjoys my mom. in fact, i think my friends like my mom more than they like me. i don’t really mind though- i take it as a compliment.
when i grow up i want to be just like my mom. she has a balanced sense of humility, which is a special quality in a world where everyone thinks they’re important. i mean, she must know she is the most integral part of the servideo clan, yet she never takes herself too seriously. i wish i knew how to love/care endlessly, but expect so little.
when my mom hurts, i hurt; we are so in tune to each other. i always take my moms advice before i even take my own into consideration. on the card i made for her, i put this poem:
I see you working hard for me
And wonder what it means:
Whether I will do the same
And give up my own dreams
To offer someone else my world,
A stranger from my womb,
And say: Here, take my life,
So you, not I, can bloom.
that is my mum through and through. sometimes i lay awake at night (lolllll im such a sap) and i think to myself, “there is no way i will ever be able to be as good of a mother, or a person for that matter, as my own mom.” she is so tolerant of everybody despite the fact that everybody seems to demand so much from her. she supports me in everything i do and i feel so badly for people who will never know what that feels like.
to me, my mom is the kind of person God wanted humans to turn out like. her beauty is unyielding and i think she deserves all the wonderful riches life brings.
happy mothers day mama! you know i love you.
