im on vacation in the mountains. actually, im in the back of the car, trying to salvage internet from the towns only wifi connection.
i rented a bunch of movies before i came here, one of which included the strangers. i watched it the first day we arrived, which, as it turns out, was the worst decision i could have ever made. i have hardly slept for the past two days, and even the slightest of noises cause me to
all over the place.
had i watched this in the comfort of my lovely suburban home, i might not be as scared. but this house is tucked away in the woods, far from the rest of salvation where there is no cell service AND the landline phone doesn’t operate either!

the couple in the film is brutally murdered in their vacation home tucked away in the woods far from the rest of salvation where their cellies don’t work. AHHH!!! not to mention i have been told i possess a striking resemblance to liv tyler, the star and chosen victim of the movie. bawwww! the one factoid that kept me (mostly) grounded throughout the movie is that the blonde chick/dollface murderer is none other than supermodel gemma ward!!
DONT HURT ME!!!!

ha i had no idea gemma was one of the villains. that makes the movie quite less scary.

oooh btw saw your post on summer reading, have you read nabokov’s novella “the enchanter”? it’s sort of a psychological prelude to “lolita”…different ending and less in-depth, but similar theme. check it out.

oh my god, me and shane watched this movie together, it was really one of the scariest movies i’ve ever seen, imho! you must have been horrified seeing it in the woods!!
