yesterday, two monorails at disney world collided, killing one, which is why jackie and i went to great escape today. i haven’t been there in ages, and there were several things i observed:

1) obesity is more evident at amusement parks than anywhere else. the only people who were skinny were these tween girls from camp walden….which is an all girls camp that costs $8000+ to attend. you might remember it from “the parent trap” with cady heron lindsay lohan. so YEAH…young, rich, future debutantes of uh-murrica who need to stay twiglet-y (i can hear it at the dinner table- “here honey, don’t eat that dakota roll, try this seaweed salad without any dressing! yum!”). it’s funny because you’d think the chicks who should represent america should be the fat ones, since we are ~the indulgent nation~. but really though, and i don’t say this in jest, but seeing a hundred 4’9, 150 pound 10 year old kids running around is deplorable and sad.

2) if they’re not heavy, they’re smoking and out of shape. there are several designated smoking areas that were filled today. barf! addiction sucks.

3) for some people, the 80′s have never died. lots of hair spray, teased bangs, high white socks, mom jeans. bright lipstick
