i am a total tradition hound. when we stopped doing christmas eve at my aunt pats about 3 years ago i nearly shit myself (and dom can vouch for me). 

this year many things didn’t happen:

-we didn’t go to church on christmas eve. infact, we didn’t go to church at all (!!!!)

-none of ~the cousins~ went into aunt sharons awesome basement to get away from everyone else

-probably because everyone else wasnt’t there…it was really mellow at her house.

-we went home and watched horton hears a who in the family room, where i fell asleep, and didn’t receive an official CHRISTMAS TUCK-IN!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH

non-traditional ≠ bad. christmas is awesome. it’s always awesome (except for christmas 2 years ago…it was crazy).
